How to Create a Subgroup ? 

The subgroup feature allows you to efficiently filter your user interface to display only the measurement points of interest.


Creating a Subgroup

Whether you want to view data by river, watershed, region, or any other criteria, subgroups offer a personalized view.

👥 Steps to Create a Subgroup

  1. Log in to the vorteX-io platform.

  2. Access team settings
    Click on your team name at the top right of the interface, then select "Team Settings."

  3. Go to the “Team Subgroups” section
    Scroll through the menu to find this section.

  4. Create a new subgroup
    Click "Add", then:

    • Give your subgroup a name.

    • Choose a color for visual identification.

    • Add the relevant users.

    • Associate the measurement points you want to include in the subgroup.

  5. Save the configuration
    Click "Save."

The subgroup and its associated team members will be visible in the team settings and can be edited at any time using the "Manage" button.


How to Filter the View Using a Subgroup

Once your subgroup is created, you can easily apply the filter:

  • Go to the top right of the page and open the "Subgroups" menu, which appears to the right of your name.

  • Use the filter menu to choose:

    • Global View: displays all stations.

    • Specific Subgroup: displays only the stations associated with that subgroup.

Subgroup filters are automatically applied across several key sections:

  • Dashboard

  • Measurement Points

  • Notifications


This dynamic filtering greatly enhances efficiency and simplifies data visualisation, particularly when handling a large volume of measurement points.
